I have to admit that i have watched a lot of movies throught my-brief-life but only a few have succeeded to make it to my top-10 list!"Into the Wild" though was love at the first view. The direction, the screenplay, the soundtrack, the photography were all characterized of excellent quality dispite the low budget of the movie. The tranfer of the book to the big screen was so faithful to the authors vivid dicriptions that many charactrize the movie as documentary.
The movie-without spoiling any imporant detail of the plot- is the biography of a young boy who as soon as he graduated from college he left everything behind and started a roadtrip across the states. His final destination was Alaska where he discovers his "magic-bus" and starts to narrate his life until that moment and the events that drove him to choose that specific lifestyle. With the help of the exceptional Sean Penn-in the role of the director this time- and the music(of course) the impression of living inside the movie and experiencing every single moment is given to the audience! Many secondary characters involve in the plot in order the main character to unwrap the hidden aspects of his life and finally get in the redemption by forgiving whomever harm him!
As soon as somebody watches "Into the Wild" there is no way to forget it! Sean Penn managed to blend music with movement and expression and refute all those who hurried to characterize it as “a boring and old-fashioned” movie with no hope of success. He proved once again that low budget are capable of presenting both a qualitative and decent piece of work. In arts what truly matters is talent and its appropriate exploitation and "Into the Wild" proved that it possesses both these values in the superlative degree.
