                                                               It's a Books' Books' World!

If i had to be totally objective i would have to characterize Paris as absolutely adorable! The museums, the coffee-shops, the monuments and everything that surrounds Paris are in harmony creating a melancholical and romantic at the same time atmosphere. You enjoy a walk across Seine, you can visit the artistic little streets of Monmarte or shop in some of the most famous boutiques worldwide. But if you ask which is my favorite place of this beautiful city, i would not aswer neither the Louvre nor Versailles but a small bookshop called "Shakespeare and the Company"!
Close to Sorbonne university and opposite to Notre Dame you can find the lovely bookshop full of students and tourists at a daily basis. As you enter the place you see at first an ordinary bookshop equipped  with the latest english publications  that can satisfy even the most demanding customer. But it is upstairs that the magic unfolds! The second floor is full of old books-not for sale-that exude an old smell and create the feeling of travelling back in time. In your right hand you can see a room where small band every now and then give live performances or large groups of people gather t study all together. In the next room you can find a bed surrounded by thousands of books, offering to someone the opportunity to enjoy reading while relaxing. Over the bed you can find a bunch of hand written letters where the visitors express their feelings and thoughts.

My favorite spot although is near the window and under the poster of the "Great Gatsby";by sitting there you have a full view of Notre Dame, of the people walking across the river, of the coffe-shops even the trees add a mysterious and romantic note to the whole scene! As you understand from the description it is a must see place in case someone visits Paris and i think if are even a little bit a fan of literature you are in danger of the place creating you the urge to move permantely in the city of lights! As soon as you leave from Shakespeare and the Company you are sure about two things; first of all you have to come back one day and second of all there is no other place like this anywhere!

                                                   Nick's comeback...to the Bad Seeds

If i could choose my top 5 bands of the 90's  Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds would without doubt claim #1. The Australian rock band combining the full of sexuality voice of Nick Cave
with  the mysterious music, has succeeded to attract three different generations of admirers. Going back in time, we find a small  band  in London called the Bithday Party whose members(among others) happened to be the unknown then Nick Cave and Mick Harvey. As soon as they saw that they had no future in the music industry by remaining in "Birthday Party" they decided-after a guitarist named Blixa Bargeld joined them-to form a new band that would be characterized as alternative rock and be called "Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds"!
I have to confess that the songs that made me admire and discover the great depth of this band are "From Her to Eternity" and the "Your Funeral...my trial"since they combined all these elements of "magic" that  differentiate you in the music industry. But if i want to be 100%  honest their biggest hit of their carrer is the so-called  "Where the Wild Roses Grow" ft Kylie Minogue. Far away from her comfort zone Minogue succeded to adjust and and co-operate in the creation of one of  the bigest hits in the history of music.
Despite the fact that things have changed a lot since 1984, old members left, new members came, the band relocatted to Berlin, Cave passed through rehab, the band has always been relevant which was proven by the big anticipation of the fans for the the release of their new album. Although their new tracks cannot be compared with the classic ones that made them who  they are today,is nice to see that there are bands that  are still loyal to their music identity no matter the requirements of the industry.

                                                      Hello There!

Since i was a little girl i remember myself reading books, even if  that was Little Prince, some nerdy comic book or even the Harry Potter series and wanting one day to be a writer as well. Growing up my dreams changed; quitted  the " being a writer" dream and i started doing others things! I was lucky enough despite my young age to travel in many different places, watch many movies, taste some extremely tasteful food, drink lots of alcohol, discover the essence of music and watch some awesome live performances.

For a long time i thought that all my interests were a result of my elastic schedule and my free time.It was recently that I saw some random pictures of a cute coffee-shop it the center of Athens and the idea of finding it out started growing inside me. A good friend of mine helped me with to accomplish the mission and it was during our Sunday coffee that I wished I could share that nice feeling that i was experiencing and a little voice inside me told me “Who says you can’t?”!

So I decided to combine my childhood dream of becoming a writer with my adulthood interests and create a personal blog that deals with the discovering of places, music, movies, fashion, photography and whatever random thing makes my everyday life more interesting.

Despite the fact I am only 23 years old my experiences have taught me that we might live once but if do it right once is enough!

Lust for Life!
